Speaking to SoccerStar in Abuja, Siasia disclosed that no fewer than 300 players came for the exercise on a daily basis.
His words: “We actually resumed screening last week. Many players
trooped in here, and I can confirm to you that we screen a minimum of
300 players every day.
“We are just trying to pick the good ones that can help us start the
camping pending when the league players will join us. Since the duration
of the camping might take up to two weeks, we are still expecting more
players. We will fish out the right kind of players.
“We hope to wrap up the screening by playing friendly matches to
pick the outstanding players for the championship. We are going to
embark on elimination by substitution,” he affirmed .
On the challenges he is envisaging, he said: “The first challenge
would be the short period of time for camping. The game comes up in
February and we don’t have a team to start with. We have to pick the
right boys.”
