Police in Sokoto State have warned political parties in the state to
conduct their activities to conform with electoral guidelines ahead of
the 2015 general elections.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Douglas Agbonleni, gave the
warning yesterday while addressing leaders of various political parties
in the state.
He said the meeting was convened by the police command to warn
politicians against violence during their campaigns in the state and
urged the political parties to restrict their activities within the area
permitted by the police
