Real Madrid, Juventus & Bayern Munich are Europe’s sharpest shooters

 
Real Madrid and Juventus are Europe’s biggest shooters so far this term - both averaging over 14 shots per game - with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich occupying third spot in the Huawei Team Ranking.
Carlo Ancelotti's side take aim 14.71 times per match on average, resulting in an impressive 25 goals from 103 shots in seven games.
The Serie A champions, meanwhile, follow in second place with 14.33 shots per game, which has helped them to six wins in as many games, netting 13 goals in the process.


Bayern have dominated Bundesliga in the opening weeks of the 2014-15 campaign and their superiority on the pitch has seen them test opposing goalkeepers 13.86 times on average, with 15 successful attempts.

Serie A outfits Lazio and Napoli sit joint fourth with 13.67 shots per game, the former scoring 11 goals so far this season, with the latter seeing a return of just eight goals from 82 attempts.

Sixth-placed Barcelona and number seven Inter are both not afraid to go for goal either as they average at least 13 shots per game, too. The Catalans have had 92 shots from seven games (13.14 per match), while Inter have tried their luck on 78 occasions in six encounters (13.00).

Fiorentina (12.67) sit eighth, with Olympique de Marseille (ninth, 12.44) and Wolfsburg (12.43) completing the top 10.

Meanwhile, Deportivo La Coruna have taken the fewest shots out of all clubs in Europe’s top five leagues in 2014-15.

The Primera Division outfit average just 5.14 shots per game so far this term, with only Stade de Reims (5.67), Aston Villa (5.71) and Bastia (5.89) showing a similar reluctance to shoot.
