»»Dangote demonstrates right application of Cement at Lagos fair

Dangote Cement Company will today practically demonstrate to customers the right application of its 42.5 and 32.5 cement grades at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair as Dangote Industries Limited marks its Special Day.
This is even as the company’s stand remained a beehive of activities with customers thronging its pavilion to buy various products, especially cement at the special trade fair price.
The special day is to showcase the strength and diversity of the group as well as keep the public abreast of recent developments in the group
.
The company said yesterday that it was demonstrating the right application of cement grades to educate the people on the right usage of the cement against the background of the incessant building collapse and the intervention of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
Anthony Chiejina, Chief Corporate Communication Officer, Dangote Group, told newsmen that the demonstration would also enlighten the audience on the new packaging of cement and bag colour codes as prescribed by SON.
Dangote Cement recently slashed the price of its products to N1,000 for 32.5 grade and N1,150 for 42.5 grade (excluding VAT and transport).
Customers and other end users of cement are using the trade fair to make enquiries and pay for the product at the designated banks’ branches within the trade fair ground. For customers, the opportunity of buying cement at the new rate within the trade fair ground is a welcome development as it enables them to make huge savings on the amount hitherto spent on cement as well as the hassles of going to the plant or depot to make enquiries. This explains the rush witnessed daily making enquiries at the cement desk.
Dangote Sugar, another subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, is also making brisk sales at the fair. Apart from sales, prospective distributors are making enquiries on requirements for distributorship. Dangote Sugar at the fair is offering several varieties of the product to customers including the 50kg bags and the ready-to-use sachet range.
National Salt Company of Nigeria (NASCON), another subsidiary of the Dangote Group, is also at the fair showcasing its products. Apart from edible/table salt, NASCON produces varieties of food seasoning, which has got customers flocking to its sales points within the stand as all are sold at reasonably cheap prices.
