The Headies, Nigeria’s biggest music awards, have released the
nominees’ list for this year’s awards which holds on October
25.Speaking, Ayo Animashaun, the CEO of Smooth Productions, organisers
of the annual awards said that this year, the Headies will be one of a
kind compared to past editions: “Get ready to witness a whole new
experience that will leave your bodies tingling and your mind yearning
for more.
The best of the best of professionals are already working on the 9th
edition and coming up with ideas and concepts that will break boundaries
and set new standards.”Some of the nominees include Tuface Idibia,
Davido, Mavins, Timi Dakolo, Sheyi Shay, Wizkid, Kcee and Phyno among a
host of others. Headies 2014, the ninth edition of the awards is
expected to feature some of the biggest performances and side
attractions ever witnessed on Headies stage Ayo Animashaun added.
Created in 2006, Headies was established to reward artistic and
ingenuity. Meanwhile, Toke Makinwa and Bovi will host this year’s
edition.
