The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Bashir Wali has cautioned against stigmatising citizens of countries that have been affected by the Ebola Virus Disease, rather to work with such countries to contain the spread of the disease.
He particularly cautioned against closures of national borders, flight bans, as such remain contrary to guidelines of the World Health Organisation in combating the spread of the virus.
He made this call, weekend, at a meeting of Foreign Ministers of Commonwealth Nations which held on the sidelines of the ongoing 69th UN General Assembly in New York.
Wali, who was represented by the Director of his office, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye added that discrimination was inconsistent with the values of the  Commonwealth.
Nigeria, he stressed, has successfully contained the spread of the disease, and has no single case of EVD presently.
